 WRT PATH: It's really odd that those skrooge paths were in there. Perhaps
 you've manually added them at some stage. They make no sense at all (since
 those paths normally do not contain the executables) and it is safe to
 remove them from your profile. But, I'm also afraid that there won't be
 any effect.

 The dev himself does not have access to a Mac and he's always happy to get
 input from Mac users. I contacted him, but I can't promise anything.

 I am sorry that I'm myself cannot help you any further for now.
