 I don't get it. Still no luck. I did a clean install this time of
 kdegraphics4 in order to pull packages that might trigger the problem if
 not being installed.
 The variants are set to +qt4 +quartz -x11. If I build okular with the
 debug flag
 {{{
 port -d install okular
 }}}
 I get a message claiming that all available plugins are enabled (pdf,
 djvu, dvi, etc.).

 I also executed
 {{{
 /opt/local/bin/kbuildsycoca4 --noincremental
 }}}
 deleted my ~/Library/Preferences/KDE directory, tried it with a newly
 created user account... nothing.

 I don't know where to look anymore, any clues?
