Thanks, that is a complete log, which is good to have.
The other output you showed above lets us know that your "strip" command
is from July 2009. That seems very old since Lion was released July 2011.
I'm on an older version of OS X (Snow Leopard) but even so my "strip"
command is much newer:

-r-xr-xr-x 1 root wheel 420464 Oct 24 2010 /usr/bin/strip
}}}
So we need to update your "strip" command. I don't know what package
installs it, but my first guess would be the Xcode command line tools, so
you should reinstall those. Are you using Xcode 4.3 or newer? If so, the
command line tools are installed from within the Xcode application, in the
Downloads section of its Preferences window.
