 Thank you , I tried again. Here are the results (see main.2.log file)

 sudo port install gobject-introspection +universal
 --->  Computing dependencies for gobject-introspection
 --->  Building gobject-introspection
 Error: org.macports.build for port gobject-introspection returned: command
 execution failed
 Please see the log file for port gobject-introspection for details:
 /opt/local/var/macports/logs/_opt_local_var_macports_sources_rsync.macports
 .org_release_tarballs_ports_gnome_gobject-introspection/gobject-
 introspection/main.log
