#37633: Move optional dependancies out of 'scapy'
-------------------------+--------------------------------
 Reporter: petehere@… | Owner: macports-tickets@…
     Type: enhancement | Status: new
 Priority: Low | Milestone:
Component: ports | Version: 2.1.2
 Keywords: | Port: scapy
-------------------------+--------------------------------
Scapy (a network monitoring/testing tool) has a command line interface
with optional dependancies on packages such as gnuplot, py27-pyx and
graphviz for graphing results. Currently these optional deps are installed
in the default port, resulting in a very large dependancy tree.

As Scapy detects the presence of these packages at runtime, no changes to
the port are needed aside from removing the optional deps. It would be
nice to have a separate port or variant for the optional extras for those
that want the graphing functions, and I suggest that this should be
installed for those who already have scapy so that graphing doesn't break
 for them.

 software-for-special-features
