 I had a brief conversation with Ole André Vadla Ravnås about his patches
 for vtenc/applemedia in gstreamer

 (the git hash is for the 1.0.7 version)

 This is a video encoding plugin that is supposed to use the potentially
 hardware accelerated encoding API called Video Toolkit.

 I updated my macports and built gstreamer1-gst-plugins-bad - but
 unfortunately, after that gst-inspect does not show the vtenc module in
 the listed plugins.

 How can I debug the compilation to see what's going wrong and help resolve
 this?
