 MacPorts base runs on Tiger and later. openssl is such a fundamental port,
 depended on by so many other ports directly or indirectly, that I feel
 it's important to make some effort to make it work even still on Tiger.
 Reporting the problem to the developers of openssl is probably
 appropriate, since it's their code at issue here; we're not doing anything
 special in the portfile on Tiger to cause this problem.
