 Yes, that would be a mistake. Don't mix MacPorts libraries in /opt/local
 with Xquartz libraries in /opt/X11.

 directories.

 Try these settings:

 export LDFLAGS="-L/opt/local/lib"
 export CPPFLAGS="-I/opt/local/include"
 }}}
