 You need to reinstall vtk5 with the correct variants:
 {{{
 $ sudo port uninstall vtk5
 $ sudo port install vtk5 +python27 -x11 -tcltk
 }}}
 As the message said, +python27 is required. I recommend -x11 (default is
 +x11). tcltk is optional.

 P.S. If you are not sure if it is a real bug, you should try the the user
 mailing list.
