 I guess I just thought it time to clean up the variants a bit. Given we
 have clang 3.6, 3.7 and 3.8 variants I removed 3.5 in the clean up. If it
 still works though, I have no objection to keeping it as an option (I'm
 running a quite test now, and it seems OK so far).
