 What I don't understand is the following:
   * if users have `foo +perl5_16` installed, they won't get `foo
 +perl5_22` with an upgrade until we actually remove the `perl5_16` variant
 (but they will have to rebuild the port for no benefit)
   * buildbots will build the binaries (which is nice)
 Wouldn't it be better to just touch those ports or force-build them on the
 buildbots?
