 I just tried to install opendx, and got the error that was at the
 beginning of this ticket, and do not reach the later problem about
 creating a directory outside destroot:

 :info:configure src/exec/dpexec/Makefile.am: error: required file
 './depcomp' not found
 :info:configure src/exec/dpexec/Makefile.am:   'automake --add-missing'
 can install 'depcomp'

 Does this mean that the first patch did not make it into the distribution
 yet?
