 In the meantime, I have updated to El Capitan and recompiled (nearly)
 everything with a fresh MacPorts 2.3.4 installation.  However, I am

 which is probably expected behaviour for you, but I assumed that with the
 latest changes this conflict is no longer present?
 In other words, what is the official status?
