 Ok. Can we put a note in the python install that "if you experience issues
 with your terminal after exiting Python, please install pyNN-readline or
 'pythonNN +readline' and report your issues on  #48807." (With the actual
 URL.)

 Or can we (for now) change to readline and make +libedit a variant. If the
 licensing is such an issue, perhaps this will motivate someone to dig into
 the underlying issue. Once the issue is resolved, switch back. It seems
 silly to put out a broken version because we like the licensing better.
 Any technical objections to doing this?
