clients when launched the second time

 XQuartz 2.7.7 (xorg-server 1.17.2) form package xorg-server @1.17.2_0 does
 not launch the X clients when launched the first time. Shutting it down
 and launching it again it now launches the X clients. Accordingly on third
 launch no X client is launched, I have to launch the X server for a fourth
 time. And so on…

 This version also does not accept text pasted when trying to customise its
 applications menu.
