 Really?

 When I run a distributable check
 (/opt/mports/portmgr/jobs/port_binary_distributable.tcl -v <port>
 <variants>) on the ports I have installed that depend on python27 (I have
 over 200 installed that match; admittedly a subset) the only ones that
 lose distributability are gd2, graphviz[-gui], and quartz-wm. Having to
 build those from source doesn't seem (to me) to be too high a cost to pay
 for working python.
