 Unfortunately ffmpegthumbs is not straightforward, and there has been
 nearly no development on the repo these past few years. I filed a bug
 report at KDE [https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=359752].

 If required, it could be possible to patch most of the issues which are
 only symbols replacement, but it would also be required to remove video
 deinterlacing, which requires more changes to the code.
