Comment:

 I recently changes the Qt4 portgroup to install into the latter prefix,
 from the former. It should be active in 4.8.7_3. If you look at "port
 contents qt4-mac", which prefix does it use? Also, what is the result of
 "port provides /opt/local/Library/Frameworks/QtCore.framework/QtCore"? I'm
 thinking you might have multiple Qt installs in place (cruft), and the old
 one is one that still has this -arch bug in its qmake.
