 Reporting this issue upstream for resolution.

 Temporary workaround committed in r145277 which restricts the version to
 0.43.0 on platforms that use libstdc++.  This commit also includes a
 configuration fix for the +glade variant.  Revision incremented.  This fix
 allows a successful build on the 10.8 and 10.6 buildbots.
