 Thanks, I think this "bootstrap comparison failure" problem had gone long
 before, to be honest, I cannot remember from what time on `gcc48 @4.8.5`,
 `gcc49 @4.9.3` and `gcc5 @5.3.0_1` could successfully be built on my
 10.5.8 PPC. BTW, I presently run `libgcc @6.1.0`. Only `gcc6 @6.1.0`
 presently fails building on PPC, see #51388, but this is another topic.
