 In case it helps anyone in the future: a way to fix MacPorts' Python3's
 ensurepip is

 $ export LC_ALL=en_US.UTF-8
 }}}
 ...or instead of en_US.UTF-8, use C, or maybe any other option shown by
 `locale -a`.

 ...or just go with Homebrew, which seems to just work with the default
 configurations of... everything?
