 The screen output of the upgrade attempt suggests that the upgrade from
 ghostscript 9.22 to 9.23 (9.23_1+x11, to be precise) had no problems.
 Strangely, when I invoke gs on the command line, I get the following:

 {{{
 > gs --version
 dyld: Library not loaded: /opt/local/lib/libgs.9.22.dylib
   Referenced from: /opt/local/bin/gs
   Reason: image not found
 Abort trap: 6
 }}}

 By the way, my system is running on High Sierra (10.13.3).
