 I finally managed to install eric6 this way
 {{{
 $sudo port install py37-pyqt5 +webengine
 [...]
 $sudo port install py37-eric6
 }}}

 I think that the +webengine variant should be loaded automatically by
 py37-eric6 and only the second port install command should be given by the
 user.
