 It is possible to make xib files compile correctly on PowerPC? At least on
 10.5.8.

 Since R GUI 1.67, as I remember, some major changes were done, one of
 those to xib, and newer versions fail to build with Xcode on PowerPC. (I
 have built up to R GUI 1.72, but replacing xib with older ones.)
