 Ah, that was the missing piece for me: We don't want to revert to
 precisely the same version/revision. At least not unless both the build
 archive - and folks' local installations - are guaranteed to represent
 precisely the same results as we'd get today.

 So in such a case, it would be safer to bump the revision to a value one
 greater than anything used previously.

 Rene, does that make sense?
