 In fact you should be able to see that from statistics. For example, you
 can see `libgcc9` installed for PPC:
 https://ports.macports.org/port/libgcc9/stats/
 TBH, I do not get why you doubt that so much, given that we know for the
 fact that `gcc11` and `gcc12` build and work on PPC across three systems,
 starting from Leopard. Moreover, all GCCs are supported by upstream – so
 they must build, unless Macports break something on its side. There is
 nothing surprising in that.
