Comment:

 tagtool doesn't contain any C++ code. It's linking with a C++ standard
 library (and zlib) apparently for the benefit of misconfigured id3lib
 packages on some systems. Since our id3lib isn't misconfigured, I've
 removed that code, verified tagtool no longer links with a C++ standard
 library nor with zlib, and still works (I tested showing the help and
 version messages and dumping information from two mp3 files).
