You can replace your local version of the tomcat5 portfile with any  
of the previous versions which can be found here:

http://trac.macports.org/projects/macports/log/trunk/dports/java/ 
tomcat5/Portfile

To discover where the local version of the file is on your system,
type "port file tomcat5"
