problem building id3lib

I've searched the list archives and trax, but I can't find this particular
problem. Output pasted below. gcc_select says I'm using "gcc version
4.0.1(Apple Computer, Inc. build 5363)". /usr/lib has a
libgcc_s.1.dylib, but not
a .10.4. I'm not sure where that string is coming from. Anyone seen this or
know how to fix it?
