Problem installing teTeX

I had this same problem. I don't have a /usr/local/from old Mac  
directory. I found the reference in config.cache in texk with the lines:

dvi_cv_motif_include=${xdvi_cv_motif_include=no}
xdvi_cv_motif_libdir=${xdvi_cv_motif_libdir='/usr/local (from old Mac)/ 
lib'}

I am running leopard. So, I installed openmotif, cleaned tetex and now  
it builds and installs without error.
