The downstream python application that I need (which uses wxWidgets) opens in the X11 environment. I was thinking / hoping it might open more "natively" under Mac OS. The variant defaults to gtk (vs carbon) but I don't grasp their relation to X11.

At
	http://docs.wxwidgets.org/stable/wx_platformdetails.html#platformdetails

are listed the following, whereas the portfile offers only gtk and carbon. Do I uninstall and reinstall with carbon?

	wxGTK port
	wxMSW port
	wxMac port
	wxPalmOS port
	wxOS2 port
	wxMGL port
	wxX11 port
