libpng 1.5.0 has issues and is breaking builds (but it's not in macports)

I don't know where I got 1.5.0 from. Maybe the revision 5_0 threw my
eyes.

port installed libpng
The following ports are currently installed:
   libpng @1.2.34_0
   libpng @1.2.35_0
   libpng @1.2.37_0
   libpng @1.2.41_0
   libpng @1.2.42_0
   libpng @1.2.43_0
   libpng @1.2.44_0 (active)
   libpng @1.4.5_0

Thumbnail generation on my system is broke again.

What is a command to rebuild libpng deps with variants and not let
ghostscript upgrade?

I need to rebuild the current active version of libpng dependents.
