Hello group

I am having problems with the recent version of Inkscape. I am not sure if this is known and whether I should fill a bug report or even if it is something with the macport distribution or with Inkscape itself.

I am running 10.6.6

Selfupdate to port tree 1.9.2

Upgrade outdated. Inkscape is now at 0.48.1

Start inkscape from terminal

I get the following messages:

Xlib: extension "RANDR" missing on display "/tmp/launch-G8dAkg/org.x:0".

(inkscape:97689): Gtk-WARNING **: Could not find the icon 'object-visible'. The 'hicolor' theme
was not found either, perhaps you need to install it.
You can get a copy from:
	http://icon-theme.freedesktop.org/releases

The inkscape window shows up. Create an object and change the color by choosing object/fill and stroke. Change the color to black and click fill.

Error window comes up

Inkscape encountered an internal error and will close now.
Automatic backups of unsaved documents were done to the following locations:
        /Users/andre/New document 1.2011_03_14_10_10_22.0.svg

with the following message on the terminal

Emergency save activated!

Emergency save document locations:
  /Users/andre/New document 1.2011_03_14_10_10_22.0.svg
Emergency save completed. Inkscape will close now.
If you can reproduce this crash, please file a bug at www.inkscape.org
with a detailed description of the steps leading to the crash, so we can fix it.

After closing the error window, the message
Segmentation fault

shows up on the terminal.

Is this known? Should I file a bug report? Is there a workaround?

Thanks

A. Girard
