What/where Xcode 4.0.2 for Macports install in Snow Leopard?

aha: checking the gcc-4.2 version showed no such file! The problem was
that Xcode 4.0.2, already installed, needed updates. I did the updates,
so that I'm now running 4.0.2 (4A2002a), and the gcc-4.2 version
information is:

  i686-apple-darwin10-gcc-4.2.1 (GCC) 4.2.1(Apple Inc. build 5666)(dot 3)

And now I was able to install MacPorts 2.0.3.

For the record, the MacPorts installation had given the error message as
soon as the installer checked to see if it could install MacPorts on my
computer.

Thanks to all who so promptly offered help.
