I would expect that someone would have noticed this already if xz didn't
replace whatever libraries ImageMagick uses with binary compatible versions.

That someone would even have been you if you're up to date on MacPorts
itself; rev-upgrade would finish up your upgrade run by scanning everything
looking (among other things) for shared object breakage of the sort that
might be introduced by this, and by default would have kicked off a rebuild
of ImageMagick if that breakage had occurred.
