So I find at http://www.cocotron.org that you are supposed to not only
install the frameworks, but also a modified binutils that supports
Apple-style framework options. http://www.cocotron.org/Tools/

If you haven't done this or their binutils only supports cross-compilation
(my reading of their site suggests this is possible) then those frameworks
are only going to cause problems; remove them or hide them. so they don't
confuse things like MacPorts and other programs that detect Foundation and
switch to OS X mode and expect frameworks.
