I tried a fresh port of python27, which seems only to have added a coppy of IDLE.app and Python Launcher.app in the Applications > MacPorts directory. Still no response from IDLE, and no Tkinter either.<br>

I have temporarily returned the default setting to OSX python v2.6.1 Tkinter seems to be installed for this version, but no IDLE. <br>

It is included in the port, but is known not to work because IDLE depends in
