 when I try to install anything this is what i get (this was an update but
 this happens when trying to install too):

 Updating installed gems
 Bulk updating Gem source index for: http://gems.rubyforge.org/
 ERROR:  While executing gem ... (TypeError)
     can't convert nil into Hash
