  I actually did awhile back. It's #5840527. Perhaps there's some  
internal discussion about the issue?

  I was just hoping you might drop an email to the Instruments.app  
team. As an internal developer, maybe there's some dtrace magic I  
didn't know about for hooking into Sampler via dtrace, or maybe  
they'll get excited by how cool MacRuby is and tell you how to provide  
the stack backtrace to sampler (Java can do it somehow).
