[MacRuby-devel] Interesting "conversion candidate" for MacRuby?

Someone just pointed me at this bit of sample code today, in an  
unrelated discussion, and it occurred to me that it might make a nice  
project for someone seeking to learn MacRuby by starting with a more  
simple "translation project":
