 I have a possible solution to this issue and it's available at
 git://github.com/pfspontus/hotcocoa.git. if anyone wants to have a look

 A note though, I didn't fix the actual issue which I suspect is
 concurrency, I don't have any actual fact support that but before my fix
 there was multiple calls to relayout! in layout_view.rb. If anyone has an
 idea how to test it, let me know.
