 I benchmarked again, this time doing both from my build of MacRuby, and
 the difference in was almost the same as before, except that slow compiles
 are a little bit slower now that there is more overhead for macrubyc:

   activesupport: 2.4x faster

     fast compile: 74 second slow compile: 176 seconds

   minitest: 1.7x faster

     fast compile: 4.2 seconds slow compile: 7.1 seconds

   nokogiri: 2x faster

     fast compile: 28 seconds slow compile: 55 seconds

   ControlTower: 2.1x faster

     fast compile: 26 seconds slow compile: 55 seconds
