Comment:

 Closing this ticket as my stomach is too weak for me to look at the mspec
 code.

 Watson: some of these GC_WB are valid, some are not. There is no need to
 use a WB when setting NULL for instance (unless there is a previous value
 and you want to tell the collector). Similarly, WB should only be used
 when setting xmalloc() memory.
