Thanks, I've got the SO file from a 10.7 system and seems to work for my case.

I believe all of the tokend and likely the PKCS11 shim code is dependent on OS X 10.6 and X Code 3.2.x. Non-server OS X 10.6 can't be virtualized so it needs bare metal, which is not ideal for this situation. Server OS of 10.6 can be virtualized. Due to its vintage, I recommend doing so in an dedicated isolated environment not connected to the internets.

Thanks for the response!

I'm trying to build it from source, and it contains a reference to a framework called "security_utilities" which is supposed to reside under /usr/local/SecurityPieces/Frameworks . There's no such location on my MacOS X 10.9 box, and it's nowhere in the smartcardservices repository.

Online chatter suggests that it's somehow available via the darwinbuild system. Darwinbuild, however, doesn't build on v10.9, citing deprecated API usage.

Do you know where does this framework come from?

To answer non-athoritatively, it has never shipped with the Smart Card Services installer from Mac OS Forge. It was included in 10.6 and 10.7 and shipped in the OS as part of the Golden Master.

The source may be found here: http://smartcardservices.macosforge.org/trac/browser/trunk/TokendPKCS11

It is unclear why they stopped providing it, it does work for auth/signing and decryption, even on the latest versions of the operating system. To use it. one could track down the older binary or build from source as needed.

Hi everyone,

Is the PKCS11 over TokenD library shipped with Smart Card Services for MacOS 10.9-10.10, please?

The wiki page does mention it under http://smartcardservices.macosforge.org/trac/wiki/tokend and under http://smartcardservices.macosforge.org/trac/wiki/scs , but I couldn't find it neither on the system (after installing from http://smartcardservices.macosforge.org/trac/wiki/installers ), nor in the package itself.

Regards,
