xdpyinfo says no.

I don't speak for the developers, but for those of us who have been on
the list for a while it seems obvious that there are more urgent tasks
that need addressing first.  However, it seems a natural thing to aim
for once the serious bugs have been squashed.  Who knows, it may even
turn out to be easy, given the excellent transparency support already
present on the mac?
