Git cloned 1.4.2-apple23. Compilation has some problems during the  
auto-reconfigure phase and breaks here:

configure.ac:593: error: possibly undefined macro:  
XTRANS_CONNECTION_FLAGS
       If this token and others are legitimate, please use  
m4_pattern_allow.
       See the Autoconf documentation.
autoreconf: /sw/bin/autoconf-2.63 failed with exit status: 1
