After building, installing, and activating xorg-server-devel  
@1.9.3.902_0+docs I gain land in /, SHLVL=2,  PATH is shortened to / 
opt/local/bin:/usr/bin:/bin:/usr/sbin:/sbin:/usr/X11R6/bin, and  
BackboxWM launches.

Logout and reboot (into Tiger, to test something) did not change  
anything.
