I can't reproduce it with nedit. If I choose 'File -> New Window', the new window receives focus. Could you send me your preferences?

~/Library/Preferences/org.macosforge.xquartz.X11.plist

With 2.6.2, when using nedit, new windows are created on top, but do NOT get focus. They must now be manually clicked upon to get focus (ie, focus stays with the window that previously had focus in X11).

With this release, XQuartz moves from the 1.9.x server branch to the 1.10 branch including fixes for an xrdb startup race (initial xterms not getting ~/.Xresources), some pasteboard proxy fixes, and a possible crash/corruption. Additionally, this release brings in the new quartz-wm-1.2.0 which has had its WM hint/notification path completely rewritten to be much more reliable and expandable.
