I assume you are referring to DYLD_LIBRARY_PATH ... 

Can you run this from Terminal and paste the output in an email back?

echo $DYLD_LIBRARY_PATH && DYLD_PRINT_LIBRARIES=1 /Applications/Utilities/XQuartz.app/Contents/MacOS/X11.bin
