Calendar Server and Kerberos on FreeBSD

I'm having trouble getting Calendar Server to start on FreeBSD. I followed the instructions from Roy Hooper to set it up, and in these he states the configuration of Kereberos doesn't need to occur. The problem is when I start Calendar Server it loops on Kerberos not being supported. Hi there I installed DCS with your instructions and after some fiddling it installed fine. I can access the server through the webinterface and browse through the DCS collections. However, when I try to add the caldav server in iCal I get this message: "Account information not found. Request encountered an unexpected error (domain (null) / code 0).". Hello, Lars, what type of of authentication are you using? I don't know if this is related but in the past I have had trouble with the MSXML COM/C++ stack and Digest authentication with Calendar Server. But Basic authentication worked. I didn't try Kerberos. Since then I've switched to the System.XML .Net stack and haven't had a chance to test digest and kerberos authentication. But at least Basic still works. I've seen similar issues with other servers too. I had to switch from HTTP 1.1 to HTTP 1.0 because there was an issue with the .Net HTTP stack and Tomcat ( think it dealt with HTTP Continuations ) Regardless, which stack is at fault ( probably MS :-) ), It may help a lot of client developers if the Calendar Server HTTP stack was tested and found compatible with the MS COM ( MSXML ) and .Net ( System.XML ) HTTP stacks. I would imagine that a lot of CalDAV clients will be based on these. WG: authentication with MS

Hello, i've installed the Darwin calendar server under linux (suse 9.2) and it is running smoothly. I can log into the main "web page" without any problems with both iExplorer 7 and Mozilla 1.7.3 But when I want to "log in" - needed when going down in the "directories" - the iExplorer cannot authenticate correctly (Mozilla can authenticate without any problem). The same problem arises when I want to connect to the server using the open Connector tool (http://openconnector.org/) in MS-Outlook. ACL from iCal on Leopard?

Hello! I've set up calendar server successfully and created a personal calendar. I've also created a user for my wife, and tried to give her access to my calendar, but without success. In iCal on Leopard 9a559, I went to preferences-->accounts-- >delegation and clicked "refresh," but the "accounts I can access" list is empty. Then I clicked "edit" near "manage access to my account," and then clicked the (+) on the popup window, typed my wife's user name and clicked "done." iCal responded, "cannot enable access to your account: 'julie' was not found." One thing I noticed was that clicking "search again" and "done" repeatedly did not produce ANY requests to the calendar server. I'd have thought iCal would connect to the server to ask about user "julie," but apparently not. How can I give her access to my calendar, either through the client or by editing config files on the server? Thanks! Always a need to start fresh?

Alright I'm confused. I check out a fresh version of CalendarSever, configure it then ./run -d everything works great. I decide I want to change the configuration so I kill the daemon with ./run -k when I try to start it again I get no errors, but the request for data silently fails. Even if I make no changes to the configuration. Just killing and trying to start again seem to cause this. What am I doing wrong? Invitations from iCal to Lightning

We've configured Darwin Calendar Server on a Linux machine. Everythin works quite okay except one thing: Invitations Am I right thinking, that Lightning doesn't support sending/receiving Event-Invitations using only the server? Is the only way of sending receiving event invitations in lightning via e-mail? In iCal I can add participants and click on "send", but my colleagues don't seem to receive anything. So I have to send them invitations via an e-mail with an ics file attached, which renders the participants feature of iCal useless. We tried to access the "inbox" collection from within lightning but without success. Any workarounds to get the iTip/iMip mechanisms to work with Darwin Calendar Server and Lightning? Connection made but no data transfers through Leopard server

I have just installed the CalendarServer onto a macMini home fileserver running leopard. Install went very smoothly although I must have made a wrong turn somewhere because when I try to access the server through my web browser the connection goes through but nothing returns. I have it setup identically on an ubuntu machine with no problem. after I kick off the daemon and attempt one request through the web browser no data comes back. If I turn off the daemon the I get the expected "Unable to connect" message. no access is reported in the log from when I try to reach the server. While trying to debug my setup I ran svn update which updated twistedcaldav/cluster.py and I'm now at revision 2130. When I tried to start the server I get this error and failure...
